Thursday 6am
24 hours to go! What mixed feelings!
I don't know whether I'm happy or just ecstatic!
Seems like everyone is as they are all up on deck discussing the night's run.
It's hot and sticky, but again the decks are beautifully clean from the rain.
I get straight to work. Coffee, tea and bread.
I put the bread to rise in the Captain's Cabin and get the bacon ready.
there's also eggs to boil. Today we can have two each!
Ooogaaats! The cabin is so warm and toasty the bread has risen right out of the pan and onto the bed. What a lovely gemors!
That's the last time they're getting any bread.
11am - 100 miles to go and 100 litres of water left!
The countdown begins. I have put ALL the beers into the fridge.
I'm scratching out the last of the provisions and can't believe how much
we (they) have eaten!
Lothar says that travel broadens your mind.
I say that you have to have a mind to start!
The waypoints are plotted for our approach in the early hours of the morning.
We are most likely to get the race committee out of their bunks!
so, so, so close to Bahia now!!
One more sleep, but i doubt that there'l be much sleeping.
Tomorrow there'll be ICE!
