Another iteration of the South Atlantic Race is drawing to a close - with just the Prize-Giving to come this evening.
Having chatted to most of the skippers and crews - they have all enjoyed the experience and Salvador. The WARC guys have added a very positive perspective to the race and it has ben great having them with us. This is a great place to visit and the Brazilians here have made us very welcome. Thanks to all the boats for entering - particularly the two maxi's who have helped put this race on the world map. We hope to attract them back in the years to come.
From a personal perspective, thanks to all who have e-mailed comments about the race, both positive and negative. It is always great to have appreciative comments and constrctive criticism is also gratefully received. To those who have been rude - I hope you are happy to have got your feelings off your chests and that you'll offer your services to make the next race better.
