I am a 62 year old dairy farmer from Howick in Natal.My son who has been in the U K for twelve years has joined me on the farm. After a year of farming together I am now ready to step back and indulge my passion for sailing.
 I consider myself reasonably fit as I have managed to take part and complete 25 Duzi canoe marathons (position 317 for 2008) I also paddle a surf ski and paddle ski.
SAILING EXPERIENCE
Mostly around the cans offshore Durban.Purchased my first Hobie 16 in 1978 and competed in numerous National and Provincial champs.Now own a VD Stadt 34 which is kept in Durban.I  still own the Hobie and sailed  World Grand masters in P E a few years ago. Sea miles have been logged cruising with friends to Mozambique and  three  Greek holidays skippering charter yachts .
 Qualified as a coastal skipper (S A S)
Attitude-- Fairly laid back, I sail for the enjoyment but we all like to win occasionally .We have great tussles with the L34'S on a Wednesday night in Durban.
